VA Fury Platinum Dooley Takes Third in Memorial Day Madness
VA Fury Platinum Dooley kicked off their season at the USA 14O Memorial Day Madness Tournament in Hagerstown, MD this weekend. Working out the kinks that were bound to come from playing on eight different teams this Spring, the girls focused heavily on defense and communication, finishing 3rd out of 31 teams. Great job girls!
Revolution Dooley 16U Runner-up in USSSA Sterling Halloween Classic
Revolution-Dooley wrapped up their Fall season playing up in the 16U Sterling Halloween Classic. For the 6th time this Fall, the Belle's reached the championship game, this time taking home 2nd place. Highlights on the weekend include 18 strikeouts in 10 innings from guest pitcher Hannah Hoffman; strong offense from Charlotte Smith, Carly Franzen, Laynie Nichols, and Julia Rinaldi who all went .500 on the weekend; 3 more home runs from Ryleigh Dooley; 54 total runs scored by the Belles; and tons of great defensive plays. The Belle's close out the Fall 2022 season with a 27-7-2 record and are looking forward to putting in their work this Winter.
Revolution Dooley and Revolution Ellison/Sarracino sweep USA 14O Pumpkin Spice Open
It was a Revs vs. Revs Championship at the USA 14O Pumpkin Spice Tournament this past weekend. After a combined 8-0-1 record - - - to include a come from behind win in ITB by Revolution Ellison/Sarracino who scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to defeat Glory Lola - - - Revolution Ellison/Sarracino faced off against Revolution Dooley in the Championship. In the end Team Dooley took the championship and Team Ellison/Sarracino were the runner up. There is nothing better than watching Revs cheer each other on from the dugouts, from the coaches box, and from the stands. Great job girls!
Revolution Dooley 14O Harvest Hoedown Runner-up
For the fourth time in five Fall tournaments, Revolution-Dooley advanced to the championship game, this time taking runner up in the USA 14O Harvest Hoedown in Hagerstown, Maryland. Belles pitchers gave up just five hits in three pool play games, sweeping their way to the top seed on Sunday. The Belles offense was on fire, tallying five out of the park home runs on the weekend and a sixth stolen by an amazing over the fence grab in the semi-finals! Way to go Belles, keep crushing it!
Revolution Dooley 14O Playing Funds the Cure Runner-up
For the third tournament in a row, Revolution-Dooley made their way to the championship game, this time taking home runner up in the 14 Open USA Playing Funds the Cure Benefit. Sydney Nichols and Charlotte Smith collaborated in all 7 games, averaging just over 1 walk per game and giving up only 9 earned runs. Down 5-4 in the semi-final with two outs and time having expired, the Belles showed the same determination we've seen all Fall, getting runners on before Ryleigh Dooley delivered a bases clearing walk off double to advance the Belles to the championship. Scoring 59 runs this weekend, the Belles offense averaged nearly 10 runs a game leading up the championship, where they finally fell 2-0 to a well respected local opponent. Great job Belles.
Revolution Dooley 16B Champions
Revolution Dooley pushed themselves this past weekend playing up in a 16U tournament and the Belles stepped up to the challenge, bringing home the (rain shortened) championship. Going 3-0 in pool play, pitchers gave up only 3 earned runs and 4 walks with the Belles defense making incredible plays behind them. Great job ladies!
Revolution Dooley Fall Opener Runner-up
Revolution-Dooley saw their first tournament action this weekend in the 14O USA Fall Opener, going 4-1 in pool and bracket play to advance to the championship before taking runner up against some great competition. Short staffed on the mound but full of heart, determination, and great attitudes, the Belle's pitching staff got it done, backed up by great defensive, and clutch hitting. Great start to the new season, Belles!
